A MicroLED video wall is a seamless, bezel-free LED display built from modular panels that tile together to create one continuous image surface. Opal Screens offers MicroLED video walls in standard 16:9 sizes ranging from 110 to 270 inches, with 4K resolution, custom aspect ratios, and pixel pitches as fine as 0.7mm for exceptional close-viewing clarity.

BlackFire is Opal Screens' proprietary LED platform that fuses every pixel directly into the panel surface using advanced chip-on-board architecture. This eliminates exposed diodes and visible grid structures, creating a smooth, light-absorbing canvas with infinite contrast ratios, zero glare, and exceptional durability. BlackFire delivers true black levels where inactive pixels are indistinguishable from the wall behind them, and its sealed surface resists dust, impact, and degradation over time.

SilkStream is Opal Screens' proprietary high-refresh display technology featuring a 15,360Hz panel refresh rate, which is four times the industry standard. SilkStream supports true 240fps content playback, eliminates flicker, motion blur, and camera banding completely, and delivers the smoothest picture in fast-moving content of any video wall on the market. SilkStream is available in the Boulder Series, which pairs this technology with BlackFire for the ultimate motion performance.

The ideal pixel pitch depends on your viewing distance. For residential home theaters where viewers typically sit 6 to 12 feet from the screen, a pixel pitch between 0.7mm and 1.2mm delivers the best results. Opal Screens offers 0.7mm (Onyx Series) for ultra-close viewing in dedicated theaters, 0.9mm (Boulder and Crystal Series) as the most popular choice for premium home cinemas, and 1.2mm (Crystal Series) for larger rooms with viewing distances of 4 feet or more.
